Awareness rally at Kurnool GGH marks World Organ Donation Day
In the city of Kurnool, doctors and nurses gathered together for a special walk called a rally.
The rally was held on World Organ Donation Day.

The rally was flagged off by Kurnool Medical College Principal Dr K Chitti Narasamma and GGH Superintendent Dr K Venkateswarlu.
Doctors, nursing staff and hospital employees participated, chanting slogans such as 'Donate Organs, Save Lives.'
Officials said misconceptions and fears surrounding organ donation should be dispelled by creating greater scientific awareness.
Urology head Dr Muthyashree and Nephrology head Dr Soma Ananth noted that donating organs of brain-dead patients can give critically ill patients a fresh lease of life.
