Organ donation offers life after death, say KIMS doctors

Doctors in a hospital in Kurnool held a special event to teach people about organ donation.

Organ donation is when a person gives an organ, like a kidney, to help a sick person get better.

The doctors said that organ donation is the only way a person can continue to live on after they die.

Many people are getting a disease called chronic kidney disease.

This disease is becoming more common because of unhealthy lifestyle problems like diabetes and high blood pressure.

Because of this, there is a big need for people who want to donate organs.

The hospital, KIMS Kurnool, is very good at doing special kidney transplants.

These transplants can work even when the donor and the patient have different blood groups.

Another doctor said that taking organs from brain-dead patients and living liver donations can fully help patients with organ failure get better.

The event was held to celebrate International Organ Donation Day.
