Govt Employee Killed in Patna Road Accident on Independence Day
A government worker named Pramod Kumar went to his office in Bihar on Independence Day to celebrate the flag-hoisting ceremony.
After the ceremony, he started riding his motorcycle back home to Patna.
On the way, a very fast vehicle from the opposite direction crashed into his motorcycle.
The driver of that vehicle ran away after the crash.
Pramod was badly hurt and was taken to a hospital.
Sadly, the doctors said he had died when he arrived.
Police are now looking at CCTV videos to find the vehicle and its driver.
In another accident on the same day, a woman who was about 60 years old was hit and killed by a speeding four-wheeler on a highway.
That driver also ran away from the scene.
Pramod's family, colleagues and neighbours are very sad because they expected him to come home safely after the celebrations.
Pramod Kumar, an Accountant-cum-IT Assistant at the Athmalgola Block office, was killed in a road accident near Supanchak in Patna's Fatuha police station area on Independence Day.
He was returning to Patna on his motorcycle after attending the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony at his office.
An unidentified speeding vehicle travelling from the opposite direction collided with his motorcycle, and the driver fled the scene.
He was rushed to Fatuha government hospital but was declared dead on arrival; police are examining CCTV footage to trace the vehicle and driver.
In a separate accident on Saturday, August 15, a woman aged approximately 60 was killed on the spot near Brahma Sthan on the Gaya-Nawada route (NH-82), and that driver also fled.
