A government worker named Pramod Kumar went to his office in Bihar on Independence Day to celebrate the flag-hoisting ceremony.

After the ceremony, he started riding his motorcycle back home to Patna.

On the way, a very fast vehicle from the opposite direction crashed into his motorcycle.

The driver of that vehicle ran away after the crash.

Pramod was badly hurt and was taken to a hospital.

Sadly, the doctors said he had died when he arrived.

Police are now looking at CCTV videos to find the vehicle and its driver.

In another accident on the same day, a woman who was about 60 years old was hit and killed by a speeding four-wheeler on a highway.

That driver also ran away from the scene.

Pramod's family, colleagues and neighbours are very sad because they expected him to come home safely after the celebrations.
