Bihar EOU Forms SIT Over Police Exam Irregularities

The Economic Offences Unit formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate alleged irregularities in Bihar’s Police Sub-Inspector main examination.
The EOU took over FIRs registered in Gaya’s Rampur police station and Purnea and will examine whether problems occurred at other centres.
The investigation follows complaints from candidates and parents, as well as meetings between student delegations and the Education Department.
The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission postponed the Physical Efficiency Test and document verification until further orders.
The Commission denied a paper leak, saying photographed papers were unused copies belonging to absent candidates and were taken out only after the examination.
