Telangana DGP Says Maoism Nearly Eradicated, Launches Support App

The top police officer in a part of India called Telangana said that a group called the Maoists has almost stopped fighting in the state.

The police chief's name is C.V. Anand.

He talked to people in a town called Warangal, where he began his police career.

He said the government is now giving special attention to the problems faced by the families of Maoists.

He wants surrendered Maoists to settle down smoothly and lead a normal life.

A special meeting in Mulugu will focus on helping these surrendered Maoists.

The police are also launching a phone app called 'TG WE R UP' to support them.

The officer also warned about two new problems: drugs and cybercrime.

He said people are being tricked into cybercrime and losing a lot of money.

He told everyone to be careful of online ads that promise big returns.
