AP Plans Major Industrial Hub at Kosala Nagaram
The Andhra Pradesh government wants to build a big factory area called Kosala Nagaram Industrial Park.
It will be near the border with Tamil Nadu and close to highways, ports, and airports.
The state plans to buy more land and fix the ground so factories can start.
Car makers from Ambattur and other businesses want to set up there.
The main problem is water, but a new water project will finish in 2028.
The park could create many jobs and help the state grow.
AP government plans Kosala Nagaram Industrial Park in Chittoor district as a major manufacturing hub.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu directed APIIC to acquire an additional 5,000 acres and resolve forest land issues for expansion.
Automobile, textile, and food processing investors, including Ambattur manufacturers, have shown interest in the park.
The site benefits from proximity to Chittoor‑Tachur NH, Krishnapatnam and Kattupalli ports, and Chennai/Tirupati airports.
Water supply is a challenge; a balancing reservoir linked to the GNSS project is planned, with temporary arrangements until December 2028.
