Mumbai Woman Arrested Over Alleged Daughter-in-Law Murder Plot
Police say a 65-year-old woman planned the killing of her daughter-in-law, Sapna Ganji.
They allege she paid Rs 3 lakh to a househelp and the househelp’s family.
Sapna was found dead at her home in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.
Her family was initially told that she had fallen in the bathroom.
Sapna’s father saw injuries that did not look like an ordinary accident.
He then complained to the police.
Police say the alleged reason was anger over a domestic violence case Sapna had filed against her in-laws.
Five people have been arrested, but the allegations will be examined through the legal process.
