India Advances Renewable Energy and Indigenous Safety Technology
India is working to make sure it has enough energy for the future.
Dr JP Gupta said conflicts in West Asia show why countries should not depend too much on outside energy supplies.
He said India is adding more solar, wind, hydro, bioenergy and green hydrogen.
Renewable sources now make up more than 42% of India’s installed power capacity.

He said India may need to use a mix of renewable energy, nuclear power and fossil fuels with carbon-capture technology.
