Project Udvasana Collects Sacred Waste From 29 Hyderabad Temples
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation held a cleanup drive called Project Udvasana.
It took place at 29 temples in Hyderabad.
People brought old religious items such as idols, frames and calendars.
They wanted these items to be handled respectfully.
Volunteers took apart the items carefully.

Materials that can be recycled will go to a recycling facility.

Commissioner R.V. Karnan monitored the drive at seven temples in Sanathnagar and Ameerpet circle.
Residents handed over old frames, idols, calendars and other sacred items for respectful handling.
Volunteers dismantled and separated the collected materials according to their type.
Recyclable materials will be transported to a recycling facility.
