GHMC Coordinates Citywide Preparations for Hyderabad Ganesh Utsav Festival
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is preparing for the Ganesh festival.
Commissioner R.V. Karnan met with groups and government departments to plan the event.
Officials discussed the procession route from Balapur to Tank Bund.
They are arranging cleaning, road repairs, lights, barricades and parking.
More workers will help keep the festival areas clean.
Mobile toilets and drinking-water points will also be provided.
Officials will place cranes and Ganesh Action Teams along the route.
People were asked to use clay idols so lakes and other water bodies are better protected.
GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan assured the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi of administrative support and interdepartmental coordination.
Officials reviewed the Ganesh procession route from Balapur to Tank Bund.
Sanitation, road repairs, crane placement, barricading, lighting and parking works are to be completed before the festival.
Authorities will deploy Ganesh Action Teams, additional sanitation staff, mobile toilets and drinking-water points.
GHMC appealed to citizens to use eco-friendly clay idols to help protect water bodies.
