GHMC Plans One Lakh Clay Idols For Ganesh Chaturthi
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation plans to give out one lakh idols for Ganesh Chaturthi.
The idols will be distributed from the second week of September.
Residents and groups organizing festival celebrations can receive them.
The idols are made from natural clay.
They also use biodegradable materials and do not have artificial additives.
GHMC staff will distribute them at the circle level.
The city will also create a team to help manage festival arrangements.
This team will respond to problems involving roads, electricity, water, sanitation and emergency services.
