Six Arrested In ₹7.5-Crore Gold And Silver Robbery In Ratlam
Thieves stole a big bag of gold and silver jewellery from a businessman in a city in India called Ratlam.
The stolen treasure was worth about 75 million rupees, which is a huge amount of money.
Police worked very hard and caught six of the robbers in just two days.
They also found many of the stolen jewels, worth about 54 million rupees.
Police say a worker at the businessman's shop helped plan the robbery.
He told his friend, who sells tea, when the businessman would be travelling.
The robbers waited near a bus stop and grabbed the businessman's bag when his bus arrived.
They rode away on two motorcycles.
A couple of helpers are still missing, and police are still looking for them.
The shopkeepers in the city thanked the police for solving the case so quickly.
Police arrested six accused within 48 hours of the ₹7.5-crore gold and silver robbery in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.
Shop employee Rohit Nayak allegedly planned the robbery, sharing the trader's routes and movements with tea stall owner Abhijit alias Abhay.
The gang snatched the trader's bag near Rain Phanta bus stop on August 13 as he returned by bus from Badnagar.
Police recovered valuables worth about ₹5.41 crore, including 238 gold pieces weighing 4.167 kg and 183 silver pieces weighing 4.47 kg.
Rohit Nayak and Gaurav Gurjar remain absconding, while a reward proposal for the police has been sent to Police Headquarters.
