Congress seeks 15-day SIR extension to trim ADDSO voter count

As of August 5, 1,10,97,426 voters (20.02 per cent) were categorised under ADDSO (Absent, Death, Delete, Shifting and Others) per district-wise EF digitisation status.
The Election Commission has made the readable list of ADDSO voters available online and allowed affected voters to approach their Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for corrections.
The current window closes on August 8, 2026, and Hariprasad urged the CEO to extend the deadline by 15 days to reduce the ADDSO count.
