The leader of a place called Sikkim held a big celebration to honor mothers.

It was called Aama Samman Diwas.

At the event, he talked about ways the government helps mothers and women.

One way is giving money every year to women who do not work outside the home.

That money helps them become more independent.

He said that starting in 2027, even more women will get this help.

The government also helps mothers pay for cooking gas.

It gives money to help couples who need special medical help to have babies.

Working mothers in government jobs can take a whole year off when they have a baby.
