Himachal Pradesh plans to start a new welfare scheme for families who have not received government help.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced the plan.

It will be launched from Solan on October 2.

About two lakh families may receive assistance.

Eligible women will get Rs 1,500 every month.

Eligible families will also receive 300 units of free electricity.

Officials are surveying villages to find the right families.

About 90,000 families have already been identified as not receiving any government welfare benefits.
