The institute plans to develop a 500-bed hospital on its campus.

It has also proposed a 200-bed centre for cancer care research.

Doctors, scientists, engineers and technology experts are expected to work together there.

The Gangwal School will focus on medical studies and new healthcare technology.

IIT Kanpur says the donation will help make these plans happen sooner.
