IIT Kharagpur Unveils 75-Year Plan Focused on AI, Deep Tech
IIT Kharagpur is making a long-term plan for its next 75 years.
It wants to update its 75-year-old campus.
The institute plans to spend Rs 1,000 crore on new and improved facilities.
These may include places to live, study, conduct research, relax and take part in student activities.
Director Suman Chakraborty announced the plan during the institute’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The plan has five main parts.
These parts focus on people, new ways of learning, innovation, healthcare, deep technology and better campus facilities.
The institute also wants to develop AI and create new paths for PhD students.
