Rakesh Gangwal is giving IIT Kanpur another ₹300 crore for its medical school.

He had already donated ₹100 crore in 2022.

This brings his total contribution to ₹400 crore.

He will also match donations from other supporters up to ₹300 crore.

The school plans to build a 500-bed hospital.

It has also proposed a 200-bed cancer care and research centre.

Doctors, researchers, engineers and technology experts are expected to work together there.

The goal is to improve medical education, healthcare research and medical technology.

IIT Kanpur says the project could help healthcare in Uttar Pradesh and across India.
