Telangana Sanctions Rs 17.72 Crore for Khanapuram Fruit Market
The government has approved money to finish a fruit market in Khanapuram.
The market is in Khammam.

Because of this, fruit sellers have been working beside roads.

The new funds will pay for shops, sheds, roads, lights, toilets and water facilities.

The State government sanctioned Rs 17.72 crore to complete and develop the Khanapuram Integrated Fruit Market Yard in Khammam.
The incomplete project has forced fruit traders to conduct business along roadsides, causing traffic, weather and sanitation problems.
The works include shopping and traders’ shops, covered sheds, roads, flooring, electricity, tower lights and a compound wall.
Planned amenities include a 60-metric-tonne electronic weighbridge, farmers’ rest house, toilets and a 90,000-litre overhead reservoir.
Agriculture and Marketing Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao directed officials to speed up construction and bring the market into use soon.
