Nara Lokesh started the construction of a new farmers’ market in Mangalagiri.

The market will be built near the Nidamarru Railway Gate.

It will sell vegetables, fruits, flowers and other products.

Farmers and traders will have separate retail and wholesale areas.

The project will cover 5.90 acres.

It is expected to cost Rs 18.55 crore.

Aurobindo Pharma Foundation is paying for it through its CSR programme.

The market will also have cold storage, parking, toilets and a canteen.

The goal is to make buying and selling farm products easier and cleaner.
