Indore Farmers Oppose Ahilyapath Scheme Before IDA Meeting
Farmers near Indore are worried about a proposed project called Ahilyapath.
They say it may take away more farmland from villages around the city.
A farmers’ group says people have already lost land for other roads and development projects.
The group also questions why another project is needed for Simhastha 2028.
It says a new highway is already being built between Indore and Ujjain.
The farmers claim the proposal is also stopping them from freely using or selling their land.

The Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Sena urged the Indore Development Authority to scrap the proposed Ahilyapath scheme.
The farmers’ organisation said the scheme could reduce cultivable land in villages around Indore.
It said farmers had already given hundreds of acres for several infrastructure and housing projects.
The organisation questioned the need for another land-based scheme for Simhastha 2028 despite the Indore-Ujjain Greenfield Highway project.
It warned of phased protests if the proposal is not withdrawn, holding the IDA and state government responsible for any resulting agitation.
