MP Balashowry raises farmers' land acquisition issues at NH junction
MP Balashowry takes up farmers’ land acquisition issues · thehansindia.com

In India, a person called an MP is someone that people vote for to help them.

This MP is named Vallabhaneni Balashowry, and he is helping farmers whose fields are near two big roads.

The government wants to build a new junction where the roads meet.

To do that, it might need to take some of the farmers' land.

The farmers already gave up land two times before for these roads.

The MP told the road department that taking more land would make the farmers' remaining fields too small to grow food.

He suggested a smarter design that uses the middle strip of the road instead of taking more land.

If land must still be taken, he asked that it be taken evenly from both sides.

A road officer has now been asked to go and check the situation at the fields.
