Farmers Urge Karnataka CM Shivakumar to Begin Bidadi Land Acquisition
Farmers in India asked their state leader to start buying their land so a big new town can be built.

The farmers asked the Chief Minister to remove the 'Red Zone' tag, which they said has blocked development, land sales, and bank loans for about 20 years.

Shivakumar assured the farmers he would issue the final notification after consultations with officials, saying there is 'no pressure on farmers to part with their lands.'
