Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's Independence Day Address: Sports, Jobs, Anti-Corruption Vows

On India's Independence Day, the leader of Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Vijay, made a big speech at an old fort in Chennai.

He spoke first in Tamil, the main language of the state, and then said the most important parts again in English so more people could understand.

He told everyone that his government wants to stop corruption and asked people not to tolerate it at all.

He also talked about sports, saying his government will help change how the cricket association is run and create a new authority to look after sports.

A big fund with ten crore rupees will help sportspersons and their families.

He promised many new government jobs, including thousands of sports coaches and many nurses.

He also encouraged people to put solar panels on their roofs to make electricity from the sun.

It was his first Independence Day speech as the state's leader.
