Vijay Marks First Independence Day as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister
Vijay is a famous actor who also became the leader of Tamil Nadu, a big state in India.
On August 15, 2026, India celebrated its Independence Day.
Vijay, as the Chief Minister, went to a big fort in Chennai called Fort St. George.
He pulled up the Indian national flag, just like leaders do on this special day.
It was his very first time doing this as the leader of the state.
Lots of people came to watch the parade and the celebrations.
A famous actress named Trisha Krishnan came too, and she brought her mother.
The event also marked the release of Vijay's last movie as an actor, called 'Jana Nayagan.'
