Together, the projects are estimated to cost Rs 5,912 crore.

The state plans to send them to the Centre for consideration under Phase-II of the Urban Challenge Fund.

The local city governments, called Urban Local Bodies, must pay the state-level contribution.

They must also repay loans using their own income.

At least half of the cost must come from bonds, bank loans, or public-private partnerships.

The Centre may provide up to 25% of the cost for eligible projects.

The Andhra Pradesh Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation will coordinate the scheme.
