Kondapalli Municipality Receives Rs 96 Crore Development Allocation
Kondapalli Municipality has been promised Rs 96 crore for new development work.
Minister P Narayana announced the allocation on Friday.
Much of the money will be used to replace temporary drains with permanent ones.
Other projects include building roads and parks.
The plan also includes centre dividers and lighting.
Some money will come from national and state urban development funds.
Officials will start the tender process shortly.
The government wants the work finished within one to two years.
Minister P Narayana announced Rs 96 crore for development works in Kondapalli Municipality.
Rs 46 crore will come through the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund, and Rs 25 crore through the Urban Challenge Fund.
The funds will mainly convert kutcha drains into permanent drainage systems.
Another Rs 25 crore under CAM will support roads, parks, centre dividers and lighting.
Officials were instructed to begin tenders soon and complete the projects within one to two years.
