Heavy Rain Waterlogs Kolkata as More Showers Threaten
Heavy rain fell in Kolkata and nearby parts of West Bengal overnight and on Tuesday morning.

Kolkata received 23 millimetres of rain, while Salt Lake received about 40 millimetres.
A low-pressure weather system near West Bengal and Odisha helped bring moisture and rain.
Weather officials warned that more rain, thunderstorms and strong winds could follow.
Several northern districts were also expected to receive heavy rain over the next few days.
