Heavy rain continues in south Bengal for next 24 hours

There is a big area of low-pressure air over the ocean near India.

This kind of weather can bring lots of rain.

The weather scientists, called the Met Department, say south Bengal will keep getting heavy rain for one more day.

On Monday, the city of Kolkata had very heavy rain.

That rain made some streets fill with water and made driving hard.

Some districts may get between 70 and 100 millimetres of rain.

That is a lot of water falling in a short time.

In some places, the rain may come with storms and strong winds.

The low-pressure area is moving slowly toward places called Jharkhand and Bihar.

Weather experts have warned people in several districts to stay careful until the rain passes.
