BHEL and Titagarh Rail Systems are joining together to care for new Vande Bharat sleeper trains.

They will create a company that they own equally.

The company will look after 80 trainsets.

This maintenance work will continue for 35 years.

The project is part of a larger Indian Railways contract worth Rs 24,000 crore.

That larger contract also includes making and supplying the trains.

It includes upgrading some government factories and train depots.

Titagarh said the agreement shows its commitment to supporting trains throughout their working lives.
