Modi, Putin View Vande Bharat Sleeper Model at INNOPROM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin visited a railway display in India.
They saw a model of a new Vande Bharat Sleeper train.
The trains are being developed by an Indian company and a Russian company working together.
Their joint venture is called Kinet Railway Solutions.
It plans to build 120 trains, with each train having 16 coaches.
The first Kinet prototype was originally expected in June 2026.
It is now expected to come out by March 31, 2027.

Kinet’s first prototype is now expected by March 31, 2027, later than the earlier June 2026 target.
The exhibition also featured models of a tunnel boring machine and the New Pamban Railway Sea Bridge.
