PM Modi Unveils Param Pragya AI Supercomputer at IIT Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a big university in India called IIT Delhi.
The visit happened on its big graduation day, called the convocation ceremony.
During the visit, he opened a brand new supercomputer named Param Pragya.
A supercomputer is a super powerful machine that can solve very hard problems quickly.
It will help students and scientists learn about artificial intelligence and data science.
Those are ways computers can learn and find patterns in information.
More than 3,000 students graduated that day, including 587 PhD scholars.
The Prime Minister also gave special gold medals to the best students.
The Education Minister, Prahlad Joshi, said the Prime Minister's leadership is making India's schools and universities stronger.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Param Pragya, an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility, at IIT Delhi's Sonipat Campus.
The inauguration took place during the 57th Convocation Ceremony of IIT Delhi on Saturday, 8 August.
The facility is expected to boost the institute's capabilities in AI, data science, advanced computing, and interdisciplinary research.
PM Modi conferred top honours including the President's Gold Medal, Director's Gold Medal, Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal, and Perfect Ten Gold Medals.
He addressed over 3,000 graduating students, including 587 PhD scholars, while Education Minister Prahlad Joshi hailed his vision.
