Kerala ATS Arrests Malappuram Man in Fresh UAPA Case
Kerala police arrested a 26-year-old man named Muhammed Sanoof.
They say he may have been connected to groups planning anti-national activities.

Kerala ATS arrested 26-year-old Muhammed Sanoof of Aikkarappadi in a fresh case alleging links with anti-national groups.
The investigation followed an allegedly offensive comment under a video featuring the daughter of Pahalgam terror-attack victim N Ramachandran.
Police said examination of Sanoof’s phone allegedly revealed links to anti-national groups and a Signal messaging group.
The case names Sanoof and five others under Sections 148 and 149 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 18 and 18B of the UAPA.
An Ernakulam court remanded Sanoof to ATS custody until September 18, while investigators seek to trace the other accused.
