Char Dham Yatra Continues Amid Monsoon: Over 30 Lakh Pilgrims Visit
Many people in India go on a special holy trip called the Char Dham Yatra to visit four mountain temples.
The temples are Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.
Even though it is the rainy monsoon season, the trip has not stopped.
More than three million people have already prayed at two of the temples, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Around sixteen lakh people visited Kedarnath, and about fourteen and a half lakh visited Badrinath.
A committee leader named Hemant Diwedi said everything is safe and pilgrims can keep moving smoothly.
The second part of the journey has just started, and people are still very excited.
The leader of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, told local officials to be careful because of the heavy rain.
Officials are working to keep the disaster teams ready and roads safe for everyone.
The pilgrims continue their journey with great devotion.
A total of 30,62,228 devotees have offered prayers at Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham so far during the Char Dham Yatra.
Of these, 16,12,112 pilgrims visited Kedarnath Dham, while 14,50,116 devotees reached Badrinath Dham.
The Char Dham Yatra is continuing without interruption despite the ongoing monsoon season, with the second phase of the pilgrimage underway.
Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Chairman Hemant Diwedi said arrangements are holding up well, ensuring steady and safe movement for pilgrims.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with District Magistrates, directing them to enhance monsoon vigilance and keep disaster management machinery fully alert.
