Uttarakhand Cabinet Approves Historic Welfare, Labour and Infrastructure Decisions

The government of Uttarakhand, a state in India, held a big Cabinet meeting.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the meeting.

The leaders approved many new plans to help people.

Farmers who keep cows and buffaloes will get more government help, with some families getting up to 90 per cent of the animal's cost paid for them.

Workers will get fair rules, including pay by the seventh day of each month, double pay for overtime and equal wages for men and women.

Students from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities will get better hostels with good food and study facilities.

The government approved a new High Court complex in Haldwani and new jobs at the state sports university there.

It also agreed with the neighbouring state of Uttar Pradesh to extend the Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Haridwar.

The state will adopt the Central Government's protocol for rural drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

All these steps aim to create jobs, support farmers and workers, and make life better for people.
