CJI, CM Lay Foundation Stone for Ujjain Judges' Guest House
The top judge of India, called the Chief Justice, and the leader of the state of Madhya Pradesh came to a city called Ujjain.
They did a special ceremony to start building a new guest house.
This guest house is for judges who visit Ujjain for court work.
It will be a two-floor building with nice, modern rooms.
It will cost about 18.66 crore rupees, which is a very large amount of money.
The building will be placed on a piece of land that is almost 2 acres big.
The chief minister gave the top judge a small model of a famous temple called Mahakaleshwar.
The top judge also visited the real Mahakaleshwar temple to pray.
Many other judges and important officials came to watch the ceremony.
CJI Surya Kant and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for the Judges' Guest House in Ujjain in a Friday evening ceremony.
The guest house will be built on approximately 1.947 acres of land at an estimated cost of Rs 18.66 crore.
The proposed G+1 (ground and first floor) building with modern amenities will provide comfortable accommodation for judges visiting Ujjain from various courts and judicial institutions.
CM Mohan Yadav presented a replica of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple to the CJI, and the District Bar Association presented photographs of Lord Mahakaleshwar to attending judges.
The CJI also visited Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple and offered prayers, receiving prasad and a memento from temple management officials.
The ceremony was attended by Supreme Court, Madhya Pradesh High Court and district court judges, senior officials and public representatives.
