Heavy rain to continue across southern and eastern India

A large rain-making storm is growing over the Bay of Bengal.

It may become a deep depression and move toward the Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts.

Many parts of southern and eastern India are expected to get heavy rain on Tuesday.

Some places, including Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, may receive very heavy rain.

Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana are also likely to stay wet.

The Bay of Bengal may become rough, with strong winds and large waves.

Fishermen have been told not to go into affected coastal waters through Thursday.

Delhi is expected to stay mostly clear and warm.
