Indian Railways approves new trains, extends three services
The Railway Board, the group that manages trains in India, said yes to two new train services and to making three other trains travel longer routes.
One new train, the Kasganj-Aishbagh Express, will run every day between two stations in Uttar Pradesh.
Another new train, the Valsad-Surat MEMU, will run daily in Gujarat.
Three older trains will also go to new places now.
The Varanasi City-Gorakhpur Express will continue on to Nepalganj Road.
The Rewa-Jabalpur Express and the Jabalpur-Ambikapur Express will both be extended to a place called Madan Mahal.
The trains will stop at many stations along the way so more people can use them.
This will help passengers travel more easily between towns and cities in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
The Railway Board approved two new daily services: the Kasganj-Aishbagh Express and the Valsad-Surat MEMU.
Kasganj-Aishbagh Express train 15312 leaves Kasganj at 4:20 AM and reaches Aishbagh at 1:00 PM; the return train leaves at 2:00 PM.
The Valsad-Surat MEMU (69149) will run daily from Valsad at 1:20 PM, arriving in Surat at 4:40 PM.
Three trains were extended: Varanasi City-Gorakhpur Express to Nepalganj Road, and Rewa-Jabalpur and Jabalpur-Ambikapur Expresses to Madan Mahal.
The changes aim to improve connectivity on key regional routes in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
