Indian Railways has decided to start a new passenger train in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India.

The train will run every single day between Itarsi and Madan Mahal, a station in the city of Jabalpur.

It will leave Itarsi Junction at 11:40 in the morning and reach Madan Mahal at 4:45 in the afternoon.

On the way back, it leaves Madan Mahal at 5:50 in the evening and gets to Itarsi at 10:55 at night.

The whole journey is about 242 kilometres long and takes a little over five hours.

Along the way, it will stop at nine smaller stations, including Pipariya and Narsinghpur.

This helps people who live in small towns travel more easily and cheaply.

Many daily commuters, students, and people who do not book reserved seats will benefit.

The train also helps people reach schools, hospitals, markets, and places of worship.

Overall, it connects two major railway junctions, Jabalpur and Itarsi.
