NEET SS Round 2 Choice Filling Ends Today, Seats Added

Doctors in India who want to study very advanced medical specialities take a big test called NEET SS.

After the test, they join a process where they pick which courses and hospitals they like best.

A group called the Medical Counselling Committee, or MCC, runs this process.

Right now, this group is doing something called Round 2, which gives doctors a second chance to choose.

The choice forms for Round 2 close today, August 11, at 5 PM, so doctors must finish before that time.

MCC also added six new seats at a hospital in Kolkata called IPGMER.

Three of the new seats are for newborn baby care, called DM Neonatology.

Three more are for special tummy surgery, called M.Ch Surgical Gastroenterology.

The results for Round 2 will be announced on August 13.

Doctors who get a seat must go to their hospital between August 14 and August 20 to finish joining.
