MCC Releases NEET SS 2025 Round 2 Vacancy Seat Matrix
A committee in India called the Medical Counselling Committee helps doctors get into very advanced medical courses.
It just released a list of open spots for the second round of admissions.
There are two kinds of open spots on this list: clear vacancies, which are definitely free, and virtual vacancies, which might become free later.
Virtual spots depend on whether other doctors decide to keep, leave, or give up the seats they won earlier.
The open spots are for special doctor courses like DM, M.Ch, and DrNB SS.
These courses train doctors to become experts in super-specialty areas.
Students can sign up until August 10 and choose the courses they like by August 11.
The committee will announce who gets the seats on August 13.
A court called the Delhi High Court said some students could rejoin the process if they had given up their earlier seats on time.
The lucky students will report to their new schools between August 14 and August 20.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) published the NEET SS Counselling 2025 Round 2 seat matrix with 2,423 clear and 5,605 virtual vacancies.
Vacancies cover Doctor of Medicine (DM), Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) and Doctor of National Board Super Speciality (DrNB SS) courses across participating Indian institutions.
Virtual vacancies are seats that may open depending on candidates joining, resigning from, or retaining Round 1 allotted seats.
Registration closes at 6 PM on August 10, payment at 10 PM, choice-filling and locking by August 11, with Round 2 results on August 13.
Following Delhi High Court directions, candidates who resigned from earlier allotted seats before the deadline could re-register for Round 2.
