Mumbai Ticketless Travel Drops 22% After Penalty Doubles

Central Railway saw a 16% decline in ticketless travel cases, while fine collection increased to ₹6.98 crore.
Western Railway experienced a 25% drop in ticketless travel cases, with fine collection rising slightly to ₹2.88 crore.
Overall, ticketless travel cases declined from 2,94,075 to 2,30,344 across both railway zones.
Railway officials plan to continue intensive ticket-checking drives to maintain compliance and improve revenue.
