ACER India has introduced a new program called Outstanding Schools.

It is designed to help schools understand what they do well and what they can improve.

The program looks at teaching, school leadership, student wellbeing and the use of evidence.

It is based on a tool developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research.

The India version was adjusted to fit the goals of National Education Policy 2020.

These goals include better basic reading and math skills, practical learning and teacher training.

Schools are encouraged to keep improving instead of focusing mainly on rankings.

The program was launched in New Delhi with education leaders and representatives from more than 50 organisations.

Speakers said that evidence and practical support can help schools make better improvement plans.
