Tamil Nadu raises first-time Haj subsidy to Rs 35,000
The government of Tamil Nadu, a state in India, shared its plans for spending money next year.
The person who announced this is called the Finance Minister.
He said people making their first Haj trip, a special journey Muslims take to Mecca, will now get more money from the government.
The help goes up from Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000.
The government will also keep giving scholarships to help students from minority communities go to school.
There is also money set aside to improve burial grounds and to help women's aid societies.
The minister said his government takes care of minorities and believes in social justice.
He said his leader follows the ideas of a famous thinker named Periyar.
The budget spends Rs 1,700 crore to help backward classes and minorities.
Part of this money will help students pay for school, college, and even medical studies.

The announcement was made in the Revised Estimates 2026-27 budgetary address presented in Chennai.
The budget allocates Rs 1,700 crore to the Welfare of Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Minorities Department.
Other provisions include Rs 372 crore for educational scholarships, Rs 77 crore for medical and dentistry tuition under the 7.5% reservation, and Rs 13.41 crore to prevent girl student dropouts.
The minister described the TVK-led government as a 'secular, social justice government' and took a veiled swipe at the DMK over social justice.
