Seven New Judges Raise Delhi High Court Strength to 50
Seven judges who worked in Delhi’s trial courts are joining the Delhi High Court.
They will officially become High Court judges after taking an oath.
The oath ceremony will happen on Monday at 10 am.
Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya will lead the ceremony.
The seven appointments were notified by the central government on September 19.
The Supreme Court collegium had recommended their appointments.
After they join, the High Court will have 50 judges.
The court is allowed to have up to 60 judges.
