Baragada MP Pushes Railway Expansion in Western Odisha
Pradeep Purohit, a member of parliament from Baragada, met with the Railway Minister to ask for better trains and stations in his area.
He wants new trains to run and more stops at local stations.
He also wants the Ispat Express to run on time.
Purohit wants the station at Brajarajnagar to have better toilets and lights.
He also wants a new railway line from Baragada to Nuapada to help people travel easier.
MP Pradeep Purohit met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to submit a memorandum for railway development in Baragada and Jharsuguda.
The proposal calls for accelerated project timelines, new train services, improved passenger amenities, and punctual operation of the Ispat Express.
Purohit requests additional stoppages at Brajarajnagar, Jharsuguda, Barpali, Attabira and the restoration of discontinued halts.
He urges upgrades at Brajarajnagar and Belpahar stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
The MP demands speedy completion of the Baragada–Nuapada railway project to boost connectivity and economic growth.
