No Land Acquisition Ordered for Three Proposed Rail Corridors
India is considering three high-speed rail routes from Hyderabad to Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the government has not asked the states to acquire land for them.
The routes are still being studied and have not been chosen yet.
He said any land acquisition happening now in the name of these projects is illegal.
After the routes are finalised, the details will be shared with state governments and farmers.
