CaratLane unveils Gariahat flagship as diamond buyers embrace everyday jewellery
CaratLane opened a large new jewellery store in Gariahat.
The store has three floors and is designed to feel like a special destination.
It has some jewellery designs that are currently available only there.
The company says gold has become more expensive, so it is trying to make diamond jewellery easier to afford.
Some natural diamond jewellery starts at about ₹5,000.
Many customers first look at jewellery online and then visit a store to try it on.
CaratLane says people increasingly want jewellery that can be worn every day.
Younger adults, especially people aged 25 to 35, are an important group of diamond buyers.
CaratLane opened a three-floor, 4,000-square-foot flagship store in Gariahat on September 9.
The store includes designs currently exclusive to the Gariahat location and aims to enhance customer experience.
CaratLane has 31 stores across 11 cities in Bengal and plans to reach 35 statewide.
The brand offers natural diamond jewellery from about ₹5,000 and 9-carat gold pieces from roughly ₹8,000 to ₹10,000.
CaratLane says younger consumers are driving demand, with its strongest customer segment aged 25 to 35.
