PG Medical Student Priyanka's Health Condition Remains Critical After Accident
A young medical student named Priyanka was hurt very badly in a road accident.
She was riding on a two-wheeler with her friend near a movie mall.
The police say a car hit them from behind, and the driver had been drinking alcohol.
The car hit them more than once and went over Priyanka.
She got a serious injury to her head.
First, she was taken to a hospital in Rajamahendravaram.
Then she was moved to a bigger hospital in Secunderabad.
Doctors say she is still very sick.
They want to do a test to check if her brain is still working.
But right now, her body is not strong enough for the test.
Priyanka, a first-year postgraduate Dermatology student at GSL Medical College, remains in critical condition after an August 3 accident in Rajanagaram.
The accident occurred near Prasad Aditya Mall when a car allegedly driven by Andrew William Joseph hit her two-wheeler from behind.
Police allege the driver was under the influence of alcohol, struck the two-wheeler multiple times, and ran over Priyanka.
Priyanka suffered severe head injuries and was moved from a private hospital in Rajamahendravaram to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad.
Doctors plan to conduct an apnea test to assess brain death, but her current condition is reportedly not stable enough for the procedure.
