Over 875 films have been submitted from nearly 50 countries.

The festival, which will take place from September 7 to 10, aims to showcase J&K as a center for creativity and cultural dialogue.

It will feature film screenings, workshops, and discussions.

The festival also wants to highlight the beauty and culture of the Himalayan region and encourage understanding between different cultures through cinema.

The Chief Minister of J&K, Omar Abdullah, launched the festival with a curtain raiser ceremony on July 17.
